Parent Support Group

- About: For parents or guardians of children who are currently exhibiting, or who have exhibited in the recent past, suicidal thoughts or behaviors. This free support group is led by trained NAMI volunteers and is a collaborative effort with NAMI Washtenaw County, Washtenaw County Health Department, Washtenaw County Community Mental Health, University of Michigan Depression Center, and Washtenaw Intermediate School District.
Family Crisis Center of Washtenaw

- About: The Family Crisis Center of Washtenaw offers on-going group sessions, special events, and workshops. They also offer therapy for individuals, couples, and families.

Parent Empowerment Café
- Time: Every Tuesday 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

- About: Parent Empowerment Café is a group formed to help parents begin a dialogue with other parents who may have common experiences and concerns. The group offers a licensed psychotherapist (LMSW), education and resources regarding suicidality that can empower parents with strengths and hope for mental wellness in their family.
Depending on the number of registration calls received, the Parent Empowerment Café arranges a group of a minimum five to six people in each group. If both parents are present, group size could be up to 12 people.
