Getting to the Washtenaw County Health Department at 555 Towner
Free parking
Our free visitor parking lot is located on Towner Street and Center Street. The first row has reserved handicap and expectant mother spaces. If the parking lot is full, street parking is available on Towner Street and Arnet Street.
Getting to our office from the parking lot
Use the crosswalk and follow the painted sidewalk to our building (the one on your left - we are not the darker orange/red Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) building that will be to your right). You will come to a sign that says “Community Mental Health.” Enter through the doors next to this sign.
Once inside the building, you’ll be in “the Atrium.” Go down the hallway that says “Welcome to the Washtenaw County Health Department.” You’ll see an area for our clinic and WIC to the right. If you're looking for the Washtenaw Health Project (WHP) continue left and follow the signs for WHP.
Taking the bus
The Ride Route 44 stops right in front of our building. Get off the bus at Prospect and Towner. Enter our building from Towner St.
Accessibility
Wheelchair drop-off and pick-up is on Towner Street, between the door marked “Human Services Center” and the bus stop. All main doors in our building have handicap automatic door switches for wheelchairs or people who need assistance.
