OFFICE OF THE ADMINISTRATOR
Week of August 21, 2023
I hope that you all are having a restful summer season. As families gear up for the "Back to School" season, I wish parents, caregivers, teachers, and students a successful start to the 2023-2024 school year.
On August 18th Administration hosted our inaugural "Downtown Cookout". Nearly 200 employees and friends to Washtenaw County joined us for food, music, raffles, and fun! Take a look at pictures below. You may see some familiar faces.
There have been lots of changes in County Administration over the summer! I am pleased to announce that we have filled several key positions.
- Terrence Williams has joined the team as my new Executive Assistant.
- Guillermo Hernandez has been hired as our new Executive Director of Human Resources.
- Andrew DeLeeuw is our new Deputy County Administrator.
In the coming weeks, I will take some time to interview each of them and introduce them to you here. I will also take the opportunity to introduce you all to key partners who are working to build community in Washtenaw County, so, stay tuned!
Until next time...
