About the Honorable Patrick J. Conlin
Judge Patrick J. Conlin, Jr. was elected by the voters of Washtenaw County in 2014 and took the bench on January 2, 2015. He is currently the Chief Judge Pro-Tem of the Trial Court and is the Presiding Judge of the Family Division. A graduate of Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard High School and the University of Notre Dame, Judge Conlin earned his juris doctor from Wayne State University in 1997.
Membership
Judge Conlin is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the Washtenaw County Bar Association (past president). He has served on and continues to serve on a number of local non-profit boards.
Cases
Judge Conlin currently hears civil, criminal and family law cases.
***EFFECTIVE JANUARY 3, 2023, JUDGE CONLIN’S HEARINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN PERSON.***
ALL HEARINGS: If you need to participate via zoom, you must submit a Request and Order for Zoom Appearance at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled hearing. These requests will be determined on a case-by-case basis and will be approved or denied by Judge Conlin.
For civil and domestic cases, the form shall be e-filed. For criminal cases, the form shall be emailed to Judge Conlin’s office: [email protected] and [email protected].
A Notice of Motion Hearing Form is required for all cases to be physically scheduled onto our dockets.
CIVIL CASES:
Effective January 3, 2023, all civil motions will be heard on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. All Motions for Summary Dispositions will be heard on Thursday mornings at 11:00 a.m.

Any inquires to change scheduling order dates must be made via email to Kelly Roberts [email protected] as instructed on your order.
All Settlement Conferences are held in-person. All parties must be present in the courthouse at the time of the Settlement Conference.
DOMESTIC CASES:
Effective January 3, 2023, all domestic motions will be heard on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

Judge Conlin’s criminal docket is held on Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 p.m.
If both parties agree to adjourn a hearing, please email a Stipulation and Order for Adjournment to Katherine Streeter [email protected] and Kelly Roberts [email protected] . The order must include an adjourned hearing date – Judge Conlin’s office does not fill in the blanks.
