Commander of Police Services
Keith began his career here at the Sheriff's Office back in 2001. He served as a deputy, sergeant, lieutenant, and now sits as the Commander of Police Services.
Captain of Police Services
Nancy started her career at the Sheriff’s Office in 1999. She has served in dispatch, as the Crisis Negotiation Team Commander, Police Services Sergeant, Lieutenant and now as the Captain of Police Services.
Director of Community Engagement
Derrick joined the Sheriff's Office as the Director of Community Engagement back in 2009. Most know him as the social worker who became a police officer.
Director of Innovative Inclusion
Dr. Kimberly Jones is the Director of Innovative Inclusion for the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office.
Director of Emergency Services
Rochelle joined the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office in January 2003, with previous law enforcement experience with Saginaw Valley State University Police, where she worked as a Dispatcher and Service Officer. During her time with the Sheriff's Office, she has dutifully served as a Communications Training Officer, Shift Leader and Operations Coordinator.
Commander of Corrections
Commander Kurt Schiappacasse is a twenty (20) year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office. He began his career as a Corrections Officer in 2001, was promoted to Sergeant in 2004 and Lieutenant in 2015. He has served in many capacities during his career with the Sheriff’s Office including Field Training Officer (FTO), Transport and Court Security Sergeant, as a member of the Police Service Dog Team for over five (5) years and the Subject Control Team for over fifteen (15) years.
Captain of Corrections
Captain Clifton is a fifteen year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office. He began his career as a Corrections Officer in 2007, was promoted to Sergeant in 2015 and Lieutenant in 2020.
Director of Administrative Operations
Emily came to the Sheriff's Office in 2017 after time spent working with the State Legislature.
