Facilities Management

Purpose

To provide for the long term facility and internal services needs of Washtenaw County government. This is accomplished through a coordinated program of planning for needs and management of equipment and resources.

Organization

Facilities Management is comprised of six main divisions:

  • Building Operations and Maintenance
  • Capital Project Management
  • County Vehicle Fleet Operations
  • County Mail Operations
  • County Conference Center Management
  • Energy and Sustainability

Major Activities

Operations & Management

  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all County facilities, totaling over 800,000 square feet of office space
  • Also responsible for care of associated grounds, totaling nearly 90 acres of property
