The Office Infrastructure Management (OIM) is committed to a program of proactive planning and execution to ensure a safe, secure, attractive, and effective work environment that supports our customers: County citizens, County staff and our partners in the community. Our portfolio includes of 23 buildings totaling 859,263 square feet of space on 93 acres, over 2,033 personal computers, and 175 servers running over 100 server-side applications delivered via a 62 mile private fiber optic data network.

- Emergency response and business continuity leadership and planning
- Internal energy and environmental program leadership and management
- Development, implementation and management of technology applications
- Network, voice, and data communications infrastructure
- Capital building systems
- Integrated infrastructure operations
- County-wide help desk
- Internal mail services
Our organizational structure is comprised of 3 divisions that ensure the continuity of these services throughout Washtenaw County Government. Lead by Director Dave Shirley, Infrastructure Management consists of 50 full time employees involved in the daily operations of Facilities Management, Information Technology, and Administrative Operations. The Help Desk receives on average over 19,000 calls a year for service which are routed to specialized teams to respond and resolve.
