- Cost for increased coverage is dependent on age, salary, and level elected
- Plans begin at 50% of salary (up to $60,000) with a six month wait and max out at 67% of salary (up to $63,000) with a three month wait. Initial level of coverage is provided by employer at no cost to the employee.

Municipal Employees Retirement System (MERS) of Michigan Retirement Plan Sheriff Employees Only
